Ranks by signal urgency + ICP fit combined · Flags signal decay window for each account

Volume prospecting is dead. Not because buyers got smarter — because the tools got too good at scale and every inbox is full of messages that prove the sender doesn't know the recipient. Most SaaS lead generation strategies still rely on this broken volume playbook. The question is no longer "who fits our ICP?" — it's "who fits our ICP AND is showing right now that they care about the problem we solve?" A signal is any observable behavior that suggests a company is in motion around the problem your product addresses. Motion is the key word. A company that hired a Head of Marketing eight months ago and has been quiet since is not in motion. A company that just promoted their VP of Sales to CRO and posted two VP of Revenue Enablement openings last week is in motion. Paste this prompt into Claude or ChatGPT. Share your ICP and any signals you've observed. The AI interprets each signal, ranks accounts by signal urgency + ICP fit combined, and writes conversation openers specific enough to use verbatim.

  1. Click "Copy prompt" above and paste it into Claude or ChatGPT to start the session.
  2. Share your ICP (one sentence: who, what size, what situation), what a company looks like the month before they need you, and the signals you have — job postings, LinkedIn activity, funding events, tech stack changes, expansion news, or press.
  3. If you don't have signals yet, start with "design my signal stack" mode — the AI will tell you what to monitor and where to find it for your specific ICP and problem.
  4. You'll receive a prioritized account list: each account with the signal observed, what it means about their current situation, ICP fit rating, priority tier, signal decay window (how long before this signal expires), and a conversation opener.
  5. The priority table at the end shows your top 5 to contact this week with the recommended approach (call, email, or LinkedIn DM) and why.
  6. Rerun weekly. Signals expire — a funding announcement from 6 months ago is background noise; one from last week is a live trigger.
Input:
ICP: Head of Revenue or VP Sales at B2B SaaS, Series A–B, building or rebuilding their outbound motion
Problem: Companies in motion around outbound — hiring SDRs, changing messaging, rebuilding pipeline
Signals provided: 3 companies with recent LinkedIn activity and job postings

ACCOUNT 1: Meridian (Series B, $12M raised)
Signal observed: Posted 3 SDR roles in the last 30 days + VP Sales published a post about "outbound is broken, here's what we changed"
What this signal means: Active rebuild of outbound motion. The VP is publicly wrestling with the problem — they've already acknowledged the pain internally.
ICP fit: Strong — 85 employees, Series B, SaaS
Priority: High
Signal decay: Contact within 2 weeks (active hiring signals have a short window)
Conversation opener: "Spotted your post on rethinking outbound — your three SDR postings suggest you're rebuilding the motion at the same time. What's driving the sequence change?"

ACCOUNT 2: Oryx Analytics (Series A)
Signal observed: Just hired a Head of Revenue (promoted from VP Sales internally, announced on LinkedIn)
What this signal means: New mandate. New title usually means new initiative — they've decided outbound needs strategic ownership, not just execution.
Priority: High
Signal decay: Contact within 1 week (new role energy dissipates quickly)
